History of Other Worlds Emporium LLC

Ladies and Gentleman, Death lords and Domina's, friends and neighbors, comic freaks, SCI-FI geeks, horror fans (to which we are guilty of all the above) and other assorted collecting fiends welcome to our very humble beginnings on the road to global domination through comic, science fiction, fantasy, and horror collectibles.

As in all great and or goofy enterprises there will be colossal mistakes made. Except for one thing we do guarantee we will never make mistakes where YOUR satisfaction as our customers and as friends is concerned. Feel free to send us your want lists and we'll see what we can find for you out there. On this and other worlds, we shall seek out the unique, the odd and the mint!

We are a family owned, licensed company out of the state of Arizona. We are a married couple who digs SCI-FI and such. We have been collectors as a couple for 5 years. Gil has actively been collecting comics, pulps and books since 1967. I (Cyndi) just got into them 5 years ago.. I must say that my hubby was smart about it. He turned me onto Lady Pendragon, More Than Mortal, Dawn, Lady Death, Witchblade, Fathom, had he shown me X-Men or Avengers first, I can't say that I would be the junky I currently am. MUHAhaHA... I bet he regrets it now!! ;p

 

Other Worlds Emporium had it's first sale in 1978. We have been serving customers on internet since July 2000.

We are fulltime online, ebusiness which means the only place to get our great customer service is here on the net!

We are sorry but that this time, we do not have a public store, here in Phoenix, Arizona. We are in the process of searching out the perfect location for our up and coming store!

Personal Interests:

Gil began collecting comics, pulps, along many different First Editions Books, since 1965. With the taste for collecting continuing to grow adding action figures, models.

When we started dating, we were both into Magic the Obsession. Better known as Magic the Gathering. He beats me, 97% of the time when we play. Yet, I still insist on my white 'fairy' deck. LOL!

I (Cyndi) had been going to the local comic book store for a long time to get my MTG cards. Always passing on the comics. Thinking they were more like the old Archie or Casper pulps I used to read as a kid. (Boy, was I wrong.)

One night Gil, showed me  some "Bad Girl /God Girl" comics. I sat down and read Witchblade, More than Mortal, Lady Pendragon, Dawn, Purgatori and Lady Death. I was hooked! He will never hear me complaining about purchasing comics! Even if we don't have a living room anymore.

We have many artist we really like;  Jim Balent, Holly Golightly, George Pérez, Billy Tucci, L. Sperlonga,
Michael Whelan, Oliva D., Joe Jusko and so many more!

We are now starting into a new game, it is called Hero Clix. If you were to ask me, the little characters are cool even as little auction figures. Don't ask me what I think of this game yet. lol I have yet to win a game. Many people have compared it as a cross between D&D and chess.
